🗣️ Let the Channeled Message Breathe Before You Understand It ✨
New Daily Inspirational Write Up For Thursday Aug 20
One of the strangest transitions in learning to channel happens when you begin receiving something before your conscious mind understands what it is. You may feel the message before there are words for it. An image may suddenly appear. A color might move through your imagination. A physical sensation changes. One word rises within you, or there is simply this strange inner knowing that seems to arrive before you have had time to think about it.
Then the mind jumps in and says, “Hold on. What does that mean?”
And that is often where we interrupt ourselves.
We are so accustomed to understanding something before speaking about it that when channeling begins reversing the order, it can feel incredibly uncomfortable. The signal arrives first. Understanding sometimes comes second. Yet the analytical mind wants to grab the signal immediately, examine it, edit it, improve it, make it sound wiser, and decide whether it is acceptable before allowing it out of the mouth.
Sometimes you have to let the message breathe before you understand it.
This is where learning to trust the transmission becomes important. Maybe you see a blue light and have no idea what the blue light means. Then say what you received without building a whole mythology around it. “I am seeing a blue light.” That’s enough. Maybe you feel tremendous peace moving through your chest. You do not have to immediately explain the spiritual significance of the peace. Start with what is actually there.
The channeling mind learns to become comfortable with the unfinished.
That was difficult for me at first because the ordinary mind wants completion. It wants the beginning, middle, and end before it starts speaking. Channeling may give you the first three words and ask you to trust that the fourth word will arrive when you need it. You begin speaking while another level of you continues listening.
This is where receiving and expression begin happening together. You are listening inwardly while speaking outwardly. You are staying connected with your guide while allowing language to emerge through you. At first it can feel awkward because you are learning a different relationship with thought, but eventually there can be a beautiful rhythm to it. You receive, speak, pause, receive again, and allow the message to unfold instead of dragging it toward a conclusion.
It is also why simple messages should not be dismissed. People sometimes expect their first channeling to sound like an ancient master delivering the mysteries of the universe from the top of a mountain. Then something simple arrives: love yourself, slow down, rest, listen, be patient. And the person thinks, “That can’t possibly be my guide. That’s too simple.”
Maybe simplicity is exactly what you needed to hear.
You do not make a message more spiritual by decorating it.
The practice is learning to distinguish what arrived from what you added afterward. What did you actually hear? What did you actually see? What did you actually feel? What did you know before your mind began explaining it? That space between the original signal and the interpretation is incredibly important because the clearer you become there, the more clearly you begin recognizing your own channeling language.
Over time, trust begins replacing the constant need to analyze everything while it is happening. You can always return afterward, listen to what you recorded, reflect upon it, question it, research it, and use discernment. But while the transmission is moving, sometimes the greatest skill is allowing yourself to stay in the current long enough for the message to complete itself.
You do not always need to understand the river before you let the water flow through you.
Sometimes you receive first.
You speak second.
And understanding meets you further downstream.
The Becoming
At first, you may wonder whether you can channel.
Then you begin practicing.
You begin listening.
You begin recognizing the difference between ordinary mental chatter and the subtle impressions that arrive through your channel.
And somewhere along the journey, the question begins to change.
Instead of asking, “Can I channel?”
You begin asking, “How far can I develop this?”
If you’re ready to explore that possibility, I’d be honored to help you begin.
